Michael Liebe

Michael Liebe is acting as Outreach Games Europe for Kickstarter since January 2016. During his 10 years with Kickstarter, he worked with more than 1.000 projects, with a success rate of about 90%. The contract with Kickstarter runs through his company, Booster Space, based in Berlin. Booster Space initiated events and networking formats such as gamesweekberlin, Womenize! or VR NOW Con. In the times before founding Booster Space he co-initiated the interactive media and arts festival, A MAZE., the Digital Games Research Centre of the University of Potsdam (DIGAREC) as well as the European Masters program, Ludic Interfaces and the media:net subsection, games:net berlinbrandenburg. Until 2012 he was Advisor – New Media at the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and responsible for consulting on public funding and networking in the German capital region. He holds an M.A. in European Media Studies, is an advisor and jury member, and works regularly as a university lecturer.
