Kamil Orman-Janowski is a video game composer and music director based in New Zealand. He is best known for his work on Path of Exile and Path of Exile 2, developed by Grinding Gear Games. Originally producing electronic music in genres like house and trance, Kamil transitioned into game audio and has since focused on composing large-scale, story-driven soundtracks. Since moving to New Zealand, he has worked in-house with Grinding Gear Games, creating music for both the original Path of Exile and its major expansions. With the release of Path of Exile 2, Kamil has taken on a central role in defining the game’s musical identity, composing and directing an extensive score. His work covers over 10 hours of in-game music, trailers, and marketing campaigns. Outside of Path of Exile, Kamil also composed the soundtrack for Age of Darkness: Final Stand, bringing his dark orchestral style to the survival RTS genre. His focus remains on building immersive sonic experiences that support narrative, atmosphere, and gameplay on a deep level. Prior to his career in game music, Kamil produced electronic music under the name Ron Malakai. Active in the trance and progressive house scenes, he released tracks such as “More From Life” and “Pocket Plain” , and was featured on labels including Armada Music and his compositions were played by artists like Armin Van Buuren and Tiësto.
