how to get to games ground?

From HBF:
U5- (direction) Kaulsdorf Nord - exit the subway at ROTES RATHAUS(5min walk)We recommend booking our services at least 3-6 months in advance to ensure availability and ample time for thorough planning.
S3 / S5 / S7 / RE1 / RE 8 - (direction) via Alexanderplatz- exit the overground at ALEXANDERPLATZ (13min walk)

From Alexanderplatz:
ALEXANDERPLATZ is one of the major hubs in Berlin which is easy to get to. From here the GAMES GROUND is a 15 min walk. As an alternative you can take the U2 to Klosterstr. to get even closer to the venue.

are there parking lots?

Games Ground takes place at Alte Münze Berlin, which is super well connected to public transport – and we definitely encourage using it to help keep things green.Check out the “How to get there” section in the FAQ for all the details.If you do plan to arrive by car, just a heads-up: there’s no dedicated parking on-site. You can try your luck with public street parking, or head to the nearby “Parkhaus Rathauspassagen”, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the venue.

Does Games Ground offer tickets for persons with disabilities?

Yes. Visitors with disabilities are welcome at Games Ground. If you require a companion due to your disability, your accompanying person can receive free admission upon presentation of appropriate documentation. Please contact us in advance at [info@gamesground.de] so we can assist you accordingly.

How do I get access to Meet2Match?

MeetToMatch access is included specifically with the “Business ticket” categories. Once you have purchased the appropriate ticket, you will receive access, credentials, and instructions via email approximately one month before the event. The instruction will explain how to register & login into the MeetToMatch platform and schedule meetings.

Where can I apply to showcase in the Indie Area at Games Ground?

You can apply to showcase your game in the Indie Area via two ways:

  • Option 1: Jury-Selected Free Showcase - Each year, Games Ground offers a limited number of free showcase spots to selected indie studios. After the deadline, an independent jury will review all submissions and select the participating studios.

  • Option 2: Book an Indie Showcase Space/Booth - Studios also have the option to purchase a booth or showcase space.

What does Games Ground offer for children and families?

Games Ground features dedicated family-friendly areas during the Public Days, including curated game showcases, interactive experiences, and selected age-appropriate activities. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment for players of all generations.

Are there quiet spaces to work in?

Games Ground is a festival – so yes, it can get a little loud and lively at times. We totally get that sometimes you just need a breather. That’s why we’re currently working on a dedicated quiet room for Games Ground 2025, where you can take a moment to recharge.

As for workspaces: while there aren’t specific areas designed for focused work, you’re welcome to find a cozy corner with your laptop if needed. Just keep in mind – this event is all about connection, inspiration, and discovery, so we highly recommend diving into the talks, workshops, and good conversations happening all around you.

Can I get a ticket on entry?

Our online ticket shop is open during the event, and we highly recommend grabbing your ticket there in advance. It's quick, easy, and gives you immediate access to a digital ticket – no printing needed.Let’s keep it smooth and sustainable!

Is Games Ground accessible?

Games Ground takes place at Alte Münze Berlin, which offers accessible areas. However, as the venue is a historic building, some sections may have structural limitations. We are committed to making the event as accessible as possible. All areas available will be accessible via wheelchair. If you have specific accessibility needs, please reach out to us in advance so we can support you.

Are proofs of unemployment from other countries also accepted for admission with the unemployed ticket?

Yes. We accept official proof of unemployment from other countries, provided the documentation is valid and clearly states your status. The document must be presented at check-in along with a valid ID.

How old do I have to be to visit Games Ground?

Games Ground is generally open to visitors of all ages on the “Public Days”.  However, certain areas that could have games with specific age restrictions will require a minimum age of 12 or 18, depending on the specific game. Some games shown on-site may have age restrictions in accordance with official rating systems.

The “Business Days” require a minimum age of 18.
