Charly Harbord

Charly Harbord is the Co-Founder of Brass Knuckle Development, an innovative transmedia game/music company. She also wears a few other hats. She was previously the Director of Partnerships for Global Game Jam. She founded the Kilted Otter Initiative, a research-based game jam focused on cultural heritage and language. Her practice has always focused on using games and gamescapes to preserve and share Indigenous languages, cultures and traditions. She loves branching narrative-driven horror and detective games. She occasionally arts, but only as a hobby.She has presented her research at several international industry and academic conferences, including GDC, Devcom and DiGRA. Also having given three keynote speeches, the most prestigious of which was the (United Nations) ONU Mujeres Women in Games Mexico Jam Conference in December 2020.
